Prosforo Baking
The families of Saint Catherine's participated in a Family Night where they learned to bake prosforo. Each family worked together to make two loaves of prosforo! Additionally, the night consisted of lessons from Father Dionysios and Presbytera Maria on the importance of prosforo, its meaning, and a demonstratation of what is done during orthros at the proskomide. We ate dinner together, sampled the prosforo bread, and ended with prayer. It was a fruitful time growing in the faith together. God bless everyone!
Lazarus Retreat
Families came together in the evening for a retreat in preparation for Holy Week based upon the Saturday of Lazarus! Families worked together to make Palm Crosses, ate dinner together as a community, and then broke up into groups. GOYA, HOPE and JOY were in separate lessons, as were the adults led by Father Dionysios and Presbytera Maria. It ended with the Small Compline in the church. Over 60 participants were present.
