“O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, who art in all places and fillest all things, Treasury of blessings and giver of life: come and dwell in us, cleanse us from every stain, and save our souls, O gracious Lord.”
-Prayer of the Holy Spirit

In our Bible Study at Saint Catherine’s, we learn about the Orthodox Tradition on the Bible.  The classes are designed to introduce the basic teachings of Orthodox Christianity through the Church Fathers using the Church Lectionary, which has its roots in Apostolic times, and which has a topic prescribed for each given day.

The Bible Study classes have a multi-faceted approach of learning, exploration, and discussion on Holy Scripture. As the Bible is the text of the Christian Church, it is through worship, the Holy Eucharist, and the Body of Christ that it can be interpreted. We read Scripture in the context of the full life in the Church using the Church Fathers and the Communion of the Saints to guide us on how it should be applied to our daily lives.

There are two sessions of Bible Study:

Greek Bible Study Wednesdays at 10am

English Bible Study Wednesdays at 7pm following the Paraklesis Service at 6pm
